TAILWHEEL ENDORSEMENT

 This course is designed to increase pilot confidence and proficiency in a tailwheel aircraft. You will learn to demonstrate safe and consistent 3-point landings, wheel landings, crosswind landings and go-arounds. Once completed, you will earn a tailwheel endorsement and a sense of accomplishment in your flying skills.

HUSKY TAILWHEEL CHECKOUT

Complete your Aviat Husky checkout training with us! This course covers all of the ground and flight training material to familiarize the pilot with the aspects of flying a Husky with confidence. This course is a requirement for renting our Husky aircraft. Huskys are available for daily or multi-day rentals. We have two 2024 A-1C 180HP aircraft for rent (see below). Both are equipped with Garmin G500TXi touch screen panels and Garmin 750 NAV/COM GPSs. With IFR capability, an autopilot and tons of baggage space, these are great black country machines!

BACKCOUNTRY TRAINING

Learn the necessary skills to utilize a tailwheel airplane to its full potential. This course is designed to train a pilot to fly into short, unimproved, and non-standard fields while also instilling correct aeronautical decision making when flying in the backcountry.
