On April 25th, our long-awaited G7 SR20, N27AC arrived at Bedford (KBED). It’s sitting proudly in our Bedford hangar and is ready for instruction and rental.

The G7 is so much more than just an avionics upgrade. The increased visibility from the pilot’s seat is amazing and the new safety features such as the “stick shaker” are game changers. We can’t wait for you to experience the G7 for yourself.

N27AC is just the 1st in what will be many more G7 Cirrus’ (SR20 & SR22) that MGAV will be taking delivery of in 2024.

Please call or e-mail Ben Acker, (774) 283-1825 to schedule your transition into this plane.

As a further service to our client family, MGAV is pleased to announce that we will provide tailwheel training and field flights on the all-new Aviat Husky aircraft. Our customers can also purchase new Husky aircraft through MGAV, and if necessary, we can manage the aircraft for you.

The reason why MGAV is so excited about this new product is that it will expand everyone’s skill level and basic abilities. Tailwheel flight, especially on grasslands and slightly unimproved areas, is definitely intoxicating.

Michael Goulian has been piloting tailwheel planes for many years but has only recently begun adventure flights in remote areas and he immediately became fascinated. Michael said, “This is an exciting way of flying that complements our Cirrus training and aircraft ownership”.

We invite you to participate in the “
Husky Adventure Flying Event” held in Plymouth on May 14th. We will have two Huskies on display and an opportunity to offer flights for customers interested in this type of flight. We encourage any MGAV clients to come and visit, as we will also showcase the new G7 Cirrus SR22T.

Meet Jed Hazard, A&P Technician

Jed’s interest in aviation started at age 12 with a ride in a Waco around the Cape. He attended Upper Cape Tech, and throughout high school he worked as a mechanic on boats and power equipment. After graduating, he attended Universal Tech in Norwood and worked as a technician at a Cadillac dealership, eventually moving back to the Cape after graduating. He spent the next 6 years at Jeep dealerships, the last 3 as a service manager.

Realizing an opportunity to finally get into aviation, in 2021, Jed took a job working at KPYM as a technician and sensor operator on a fleet of Cessna Skymasters and 206s. His 3 years there took him around the world in support of aircraft maintenance, including multiple trips to Guam. He spent the last 10 months as maintenance manager, coordinating maintenance of 11 aircraft flying out of 5 locations.

He joined the MGAV team in April 2024 and looks forward to contributing to a winning team and providing a meticulous level of maintenance for our Cirrus fleet and customers. Jed has an infectious attitude and we feel so lucky to have him as a part of the MGAV team. Welcome Jed!
